"Hey! I wanna swim with y'all!"
The kids and the cousins are having fun collecting rollie pollies and naming them things like Tree Hugger and Elizabeth.
I told the kids that they couldn't play on the phone or computer after dinner. Jack called me out for reading on my mom's nook, which despite being just wrong (bc I'm the grown up and can do what I want) proves my point that nooks, kindles, and the like are still not the same as a regular old paper book. I love real books. They never run out of batteries, and it's way less scary to take them into the bathtub or pool. Also, my mom loved this particular book so much that after she read it on her nook she bought it in paperback. Surely that proves something.
Jokes written today by Jack:
What does the Lion King order at Olive Garden? Heeey!! Lasaaannggaaa!
What state is the sassiest? Arkansass!
Owen made a list of what summer is about, but it isn't where he hid it. Here are some highlights:
- staying up late
- pranking your brother and sister
- NOT sleeping in
- playing all day long
